| Gosha – Georgy Lyakhovetsky – was born on December 16, 1977, in Kiev. In
1986, his parents and he moved to Moscow, where he finished an experimental
secondary school under the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences. Now Gosha
is a 5-year student of the journalism department of the Open State University. Gosha works as an operator assistant at the TV program “The
Light of Animation” and draws pictures. He started to draw five years ago. His teacher is Lyudmila Tanasenko, a wonderful artist and teacher. She was an art director of many animated cartoons. Gosha’s works are pure; they possess a childlike understanding
of lights, joy and optimism. They are characterized by unique combination
of color and composition. Simple things in them are poetical and attracting.
Gosha took part in the exhibition devoted to the opening
of the international animated festival “Krok-98”
at the Moscow Cinema House, where his work became an emblem of the festival.
In October 1999, his first personal exhibition took
place at the Central House of Artists at the Crimean Embankment, at Karina Shanshiyeva’s gallery.
After this exhibitions, Gosha’s works were presented
at the united exhibition of Moscow artists – “Hello, Christmas Tree” in
December 2000. Today, Gosha is member of the youth section of the Union of Artists of Russia.
