Eduard Kirich

 

Born on June 2, 1942, in Omsk, Russia.  

Education:  

The Shevchenko Republican Artistic Secondary School, the class of painting – 1961.

The Kiev Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, vocal; finished only three years.

The Fedorov Ukrainian Polytechnic Institute – 1970, book artist, graphic artist, illustrator.

Work:

Since 1962, work at the “Ukranifafilm” studio; art director of more than 30 animated cartoons; author of the characters of a series of famous Ukrainian cartoons.  

Author of scenarios of famous Ukrainian animated cartoons.

Co-author of scenarios of a famous Ukrainian animated cartoon, of Ukraine’s first Jewish animated cartoon “Bobe Maise” and a full-length animated cartoon “Eneas ‘ Travel”.

Eduard Kirich won two international prizes “Silver Cistercian”, Nyon, Switzerland.

Illustrator of more than 20 children’s books.

Participant of artistic exhibitions.

His works are kept at private collections of Ukraine and abroad.

Eduard Kirich is also a cartoon artist and a master of caricatures.


he is member of the Union of Artist of Ukraine, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, winner of the State Shevchenko Prize of Ukraine, and an Honored Artist of Ukraine.
